Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Saturday stated that his party has not accepted resignations of both Yogendra Yadav and Naveen Jaihind and would discuss these issues on June 6 during its national executive meet.
" We will talk to Yogendra Yadav and Naveen Jaihind; we have not accepted their resignation and they are important members of our party. He (Yogendra Yadav) has resigned from the post of Political Affairs Committee (PAC) and as party unit in-charge of Haryana," Singh said.
"We will discuss this in our national executive committee meeting which is starting from June 6," he added.
Singh's comments came hours after Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav reportedly quit from the party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
Television reports showed that Yadav resigned from AAP's PAC taking responsibility of the party's poor performance in Haryana in the Lok Sabha polls.
Another AAP leader Naveen Jaihind said that he has resigned as a member of National Executive of AAP.
"My issue was with volunteers that they should get respect and sought for solution in Haryana, which led to Yogendra Yadav seeking a showcause notice to me although I did nothing. Since, the party did not take action against me he said that he will resign. I have said to the party that I will resign if he has so much problem, while I will work as a volunteer for the party," Jaihind said.
