Pathankot attack: Punjab to give Rs. 25 lakh, job to next of kin of 2 martyrs

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has announced cash assistance of Rs. 25 Lakh each to the families of shaheed Havaldar Kulwant Singh and Shaheed Captain Fateh Singh, who lost their lives in the combing operation at the Pathankot air base.

Both the DSC soldiers belonged to the village Chak Shareef and Village Jhande Gujjran.

During Sangat Darshan at Kadian town of District Gurdaspur, Badal said that government job will also be given to one of the family members of the martyrs.

He said that Punjab government will also help the families of the soldiers of other states, who lost their lives during this attack.

Meanwhile, the combing operations are still underway at the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot.

The operation against the terrorists at the air base entered its fourth day today as security forces continue to carry out combing operations to smoke out any remaining terrorist.

Meanwhile, six terrorists have been neutralised so far in the combing operation, which is still on at Pathankot's air base for safety purpose.
