In an attempt to reward the Pakistan Cricket team over their first series win against Australia in 20 years, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declared a team bonus worth around 150,000 dollars on Thursday.
Pakistan inflicted heavy defeats on Australia by winning the test series 2-0 in their "home series" in the United Arab Emirates last week that helped them climb to number three in the world Test rankings.
Cash awards would be granted to the players in order to recognize the win and individual performances. A PCB release stated that the chairman Shaharyar Khan has sanctioned bonus and performance incentives totaling 147,500 dollars to the victorious Pakistan squad as well as the team management and support staff, which helped the team to beat Australia, Sport24 reported.
Following the streak of success, Pakistan recently emerged victorious against New Zealand in the first Test in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
