Brazilian football legend Pele was reportedly taken to a hospital on Wednesday due to a stomach complain that forced him to miss an event at the museum honouring his career in Santos.
The 74-year-old was taken to Sao Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital as a precaution, The Guardian reported.
Media reports quoted a spokesman as saying that the Brazilian star was not believed to be seriously ill.
Santos state indicated Pele had been unable to attend a book launch for health reasons and that the event would be rescheduled, the report added.
