Priyanka Chopra has inaugurated HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd's 'Comprehensive Cancer Centre', in memory of her father Late Dr. Ashok Chopra at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, the 31-year-old actress felt nostalgic and expressed concern of this deadly disease.
"I have had a personal experience with cancer, I lost my dad through it and hope with a lot more of these HCG centers medical treatment and advance medical treatment will be available for a lot more people who are suffering with this disease. It can be terminated and it will be terminated," she said.
The 'Barfi' hitmaker further thanked the hospital for this initiative because of which many lives would be saved.
"Some of us do loose the battle through cancer but a lot more don't have to so thank you so much for taking this step for creating advance medicine for India. And I hope a lot less people have to loose as much as we did. So this fight against cancer is a crusade which I think every body can take it on. Thank you Nanavati hospital for dedicating a part of this to my father. It means a lot to me and thank you all for being here," she added.
