A Bahraini pilot who was flying a Saudi-led coalition plane has survived after the F-16 crashed in Yemen where they are fighting Shiite rebels.
According to The Washington Post, Saudi Arabia claimed that the pilot survived the plane crash that was a result of a technical failure.
The state-run Saudi Press Agency carried a statement from the kingdom's military saying the F-16 crashed on Wednesday in Jizan province.
The Saudi-led coalition backing Yemen's internationally recognized government has been battling the Shiite rebels, known as Houthis, since March.
