Killer Paralympics runner Oscar Pistorius reportedly wept himself to sleep on his first day in prison.
It has been reportedly revealed that Pistorius, famously known as the Blade Runner, was monitored closely on Tuesday, his first day and night in prison, by the nurses and guards in the hospital section of the prison, with officials on stand-by in case of an emergency.
A prison source said that one could hear Pistorius, adding that shortly after the door closed they could hear the tears. The source said that the double amputee athlete was torn up and broken, Timeslive.co.za reported.
The source revealed that the crying went on and on, adding that they think Pistorius stopped when he fell asleep. The source also said that it was really bad.
Another source who observed Pistorius yesterday as he met correctional services officials, along with his and the facility's chaplains, said that the new inmate was in shock.
The source said that it gets everyone the first time, but added that Pistorius has the jitters bad. He stated that the Blade Runner is really tense and stressed, adding that the fact that he can't do what he wants when he wants, and eat what he wants, is hitting him hard.

The source said that it's clear Pistorius' imprisonment has not hit home yet. He added that the athlete is under observation, with officials monitoring everything he does.
The source also said that Pistorius had been introduced briefly to the other nine hospital-wing inmates after first arriving at his cell.
The nine include people in wheelchairs and with prosthetic legs. The introduction continued on Friday and would continue this week, but slowly.
The source further revealed that some are glad Pistorius is with them, but others are not, adding that they don't like that he tried to use his disability to stay out of prison.
