Under-fire UEFA president Michel Platini believes that he is still the most able candidate to replace Sepp Blatter as next FIFA president, despite a 90-day ban against him from all football-related activities.

Platini felt that although he can't go out for campaigning, he is still the most favourite candidate.

Speaking on the payment for consultancy work the Frenchman had provided to FIFA in 2002, Platini said he doesn't want to believe in any conspiracy theory and asserted that he is sure Blatter would pay him for his work one day, the Guardian reported.

Besides him, six other candidates will run in the race for 26th February election namely Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan, the UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino, Liberia's FA president Musa Bility, Asian Football Confederation president Sheikh Salman, former diplomat Jerome Champagne and South African businessman Tokyo Sexwale .

60-year-old Platini dealt a huge blow to his presidency dreams when FIFA's ethics committee slapped a provisional suspension on him over claims that he had received a 'disloyal payment' of 1.35 million pounds from the outgoing president in 2011.
