Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday met President Pranab Mukherjee and apprised him about the Republic Day preparations.
Singh also briefed him about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's protest outside Rail Bhawan.
Kejriwal was protesting against the erring police officials who were accused by his administration of dereliction of duty.
Kejriwal had threatened to disrupt this year's Republic Day parade on grounds that both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, besides a section of the media, are misleading the people.
Earlier today, Kejriwal called off his protest after the Lieutenant Governor (LG) Najeeb Jung partially accepted his demands and police officials of Paharganj and Malviya Nagar thane were sent on leave.
