Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is likely to highlight India's foreign policies with regard to China and Pakistan when meets and addresses top armed forces commanders during their annual conference today.
Dr. Singh is also likely to assess the scenario along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that separates China from India and be briefed about counter-insurgency operations and steps that are being taken to stop infiltration of militants in Jammu and Kashmir
Earlier, Dr. Singh, accompanied by Defence Minister A.K. Antony, met the three service chiefs and top commanders.
The two-day conference is also expected to review the internal security situation, and will take stock of immediate and future challenges before the country.
The issue of creation of Cyber, Space and Special Forces commands is likely to be discussed.
Apart from Antony, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid and Finance Minister P Chidambaram will address the commanders. National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon is also attending the conference.
