Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seoul on Monday morning for the final leg of his three-nation tour.
At the airport, the Prime Minister, who was received by the South Korea Vice Foreign Minister, shook hands with members of the Indian community, who greeted him with enthusiasm amid chants of "Modi, Modi".
During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold restricted talks with South Korea President Park Geun-hye, before witnessing an agreement signing ceremony between the two nations.
He shall then meet United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-moon, before attending a banquet dinner hosted by President Park at her official Cheong Wa Dae residence.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister shall attend the sixth Asian Leadership Conference at the Shilla Hotel in the city, before taking a tour of the Cheonggyecheon Stream. He will have one-on-one meetings with top South Korean businessmen.
Later in the day, he shall travel to Ulsan, where he will visit the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard. Later, he will have an interaction with the Mayors of Busan and Pohang in Gimhae, before departing to Delhi in the evening.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in South Korea after conducting a successful trip to Mongolia, the first Indian prime minister to visit that country.
