Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the attack in Chattisgarh's Sukma and saluted the courageous CRPF personnel martyred.

"Words are not enough to condemn the brutal and inhuman attack by anti-national elements in Sukma, Chhattisgarh," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

"I salute the courageous CRPF personnel who have been martyred today. Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved ones," he added.

"Have spoken to Home Minister @BJPRajnathSingh and Chhattisgarh CM @drramansingh. We are monitoring the situation closely," he said in a series of tweets.

An attack by Maoist forces on Monday left 13 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel of paramilitary unit dead, including two officers in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
