With the Gujarat Assembly election drawing ever nearer, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached out to BJP's Mahila Morcha through the Narendra Modi app.
As part of a special campaign outreach, the Prime Minister held a live interaction in Gujarati with the women workers of the party this evening, and talked about the developmental works undertaken by the party.
The election campaign for the polls reached a notch higher as Prime Minister Modi kick started his campaign on November 28, to attend at least 20 public meetings and rallies in the next 15 days.
The outreach to the women wing of the party is aimed at expanding the campaign to the women voters in the state, who constitute almost half the voters in the polls.
Interestingly, the BJP has fielded only 11 women candidates for the 182-member assembly, marginally ahead of Congress, which has fielded only 10 women candidates.
Gujarat will go to polls in two phases; the first phase will be held on December 9, while the second phase is scheduled for December 14.
