PM Modi leaves for Australia to attend G-20 Summit

Concluding a highly successful visit of Myanmar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday left for Brisbane, with his strop in Australia being the second leg of his 10-day trip to three nations.

Travelling to Australia to attend the G-20 Summit on Friday, Prime Minister Modi's trip will be the first undertaken by an Indian Prime Minister in 28 years.

After attending the G-20 Summit in Brisbane, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Sydney, where he will attend a community reception and address the Indian Diaspora. The Prime Minister will then travel to Canberra and address the special joint sitting of the Australian Parliament on November 18. He is also to address a community event in Melbourne.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi participated in the East Asia Summit (EAS) and interacted with the leaders of the fellow member nations. He also had successful meetings with the Indonesian and Philippines President, the Chinese Premier and the Russian Prime Minister on the sideline of the summit.
