Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently in Maharashtra on a day-long visit, is likely to meet Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.

After his arrival in Pune earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi left for Chakan, a northwestern suburb, to inaugurate a multi-modal manufacturing facility of US multinational General Electric.

During his visit, he is scheduled to attend a number of programmes besides addressing a farmers' rally in Baramati.

At Baramati, Prime Minister Modi will visit Vidya Pratishthan campus.

He will then visit the Krishi Vigyan Kendra to lay foundation stone for a Centre for Excellence on vegetable production. Prime Minister Modi will address the farmers at the same venue.

After arriving in Mumbai later this afternoon, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Permanent Judicial Museum at the Bombay High Court. The museum, located in the heritage building housing the High Court, displays antique items associated with the rich history of the 150-year-old court.
