Former United States president Barack Obama met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday.
Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to inform about meeting the former president.
"It was a pleasure to meet, once again, former President @BarackObama, and learn about the new initiatives being taken forward under his leadership at the @ObamaFoundation and his perspectives on further strengthening India-US strategic partnership," Modi tweeted.
Obama will speak at various summits in the three countries (India, China and France) he visits.
The Obama Foundation hosting a town hall in New Delhi today to expand the conversation about what it means to be an active citizen and make an impact.
Earlier this week, in a news release, Obama's office said the former president had "forged a close and cooperative partnership with President Xi on issues ranging from growing the global economy to combating climate change."
United States President Donald Trump recently concluded his own five-nation tour of Asia, in which he met with both President Xi and Prime Minister Modi.
