Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage at the Indian National Army (INA) Memorial Marker here on Tuesday.

Modi became the first Indian prime minister to visit the INA memorial marker at Esplanade Park on Connaught Drive.

This marker at Esplanade Park was one of the eleven World War II markers erected in 1995 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Earlier today, in an attempt to learn about Singapore's approach to vocational education and skills training, the Indian Prime Minister had also visited the Institute for Technical Education (ITE) campus.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, in whose constituency the ITE is located, was accompanying Prime Minister Modi during his visit to the campus.

During his visit to the campus, the Prime Minister interacted with the students and also visited maritime training, aerospace and precision engineering hubs.
