Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday presented the National Bravery Awards 2017 to 18 children for their fearless act of bravery from across the country here at his residence.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister lauded the winners' efforts and their courageous acts.
"Over the years most of the children who I have given bravery awards are from the rural and simple background, an example of their resolve. I congratulate the awardees, their guardians, and their teachers", he said.
Among the 18 awardees, three children were awarded posthumously.
These awardees would even participate in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi on January 26, 2018.
