Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today condoled the demise of Nirankari mission head Baba Hardev Singh.
Prime Minister Modi said Baba Hardev Singh's demise is tragic and a great loss to the spiritual world.
"My thoughts are with his countless followers in this sad time," he tweeted.
The Home Minister on his part said Baba Hardev Singh's demise is a huge loss to the Nirankari Mission.
"Deeply pained to learn of the demise of Baba Hardev Singh ji. He was a not only a spiritual leader but also a social reformer," Singh tweeted.
"Baba Hardev Singh's demise is a huge loss to the Nirankari Mission. May God give his followers the strength to bear the pain of this tragedy," he said.
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said that he was pained and shocked by the sad demise of Baba Hardev Singh.

"We can never forget his huge contribution to serve humanity through tireless service," he tweeted.
Baba Hardev Singh, the head of Nirankari Mission, was killed in a road accident in Montreal, Canada today. He was 62 years old.
Baba Hardev Singh, who was popularly know as Nirankari Baba, headed the Sant Nirankari Mission.
He completed his education in Patiala and Delhi University and joined the Nirankari Sewa Dal in 1971 as a primary member.
He took over as the chief of the mission in 1980 when his father Satguru Sant Gurbachan Singh was assassinated.
