Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Naresh Agawal on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 56" chest challenge to Pakistan when he was campaigning for general elections in 2014, now appear hollow.
"The Prime Minister kept on talking about his 56-inch chest throughout last year's election, and of giving a befitting reply to Pakistan." Agarwal told ANI.
"This nation won't tolerate this (ceasefire violation) for long. When all political parties are saying that we will leave politics and stand with the nation, then, we cannot understand what is the government's problem to gather courage?" he said.
"The way India is showing its weakness in front of Pakistan, today, this is the reason behind the ceasefire violations. Civilians and our soldiers are getting killed. This is not good for the nation," Agarwal added.
Agarwal was commenting on the ceasefire violation in the R.S. Pura Sector on Friday morning.
