Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is only fooling the people of Bihar in the name of economic package.

"When he(PM Modi) announced the package on Bihar, I appreciated and called it a good example of cooperative federalism. I got a letter from the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley stating that the projects in the package are mostly central sector projects. Therefore would be implemented directly by the concerned central ministry. In some of the projects included under digital Bihar, tourism civil aviation, petroleum and natural gas, etc would be under taken by central agency including public sector undertakings," Kumar told a press conference here.

"He is only fooling the people of Bihar and this is not expected from the Prime Minister of the country. When PM Modi came to campaign in Bihar he called me arrogant and said that the 'package' announced by him may be returned by me(Nitish) as I am arrogant. I have on record of the statement of Prime Minister," he added.
