Asserting that UAE is the biggest trading partner of India after America and China, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the gulf nation has multi-dimensional effect.
"It (UAE) contributes a lot to the energy security of India. It is having one of the most prominent business centres of the world. It is having a long social and cultural relationship and also there are certain aspects related to India's national security and other related things," BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told ANI.
"So, this visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be very significant in all aspects related to India's concern and every aspect whether it is related to economic, social, cultural, security or any other," he added.
Prime Minister Modi, who is presently on a two-day visit to UAE, has said that there is an immediate potential for one trillion dollars investment in India. He said India wants investments from UAE to build infrastructure for country's economic growth.
Prime Minister Modi, who was addressing an Investors Summit at Masdar city, said India's growth potential and UAE's strength together can make this Asia's century.
He further said he feels that India is a land of many opportunities and 125 crore people of India are not a market but they are a source of great strength.
