Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is using his demonetisation drive to claim the lives of poor farmers.
"The decision of demonetisation was against the poor, farmers and middle-class people. The famers of India and Rajasthan are also being burnt in Prime Minister Modi's yagna of demonetisation," Rahul said at a rally here.
He further added that 99 percent of cash in India is not black money and people having black money don't keep it in cash.
He also accused the Centre for snatching away the lands of farmers.
"The government wants to rob the lands of farmers and the BJP governments ruling in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are snatching away framers lands," he said.
Rahul said the prime minister's only motive is to plunder the poor and give it to the rich.
