Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief and distress at the loss of lives in the Border Security Force (BSF) plane crash in the national capital.
"Pained by the loss of lives in the BSF plane crash in Delhi. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased," Prime Minister Modi said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Congress president Sonia Gandhi also expressed shock and distress over tragic aircraft crash and conveyed her condolences to bereaved families.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in a tweet, said, "Extremely sad to learn of the BSF plane crash near Delhi airport. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families."
In a tragic accident, all the ten passengers onboard were killed after a Ranchi-bound BSF Superking aircraft crashed at Bagdola village in Sector 8, Dwarka here in the national capital on Tuesday morning.
Confirming the death toll, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma said, "This is a very sad incident. All the passengers including the pilot have died in the crash. Investigation will be done to find the cause of the accident."

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has also reached the site where the plane had crashed.
So far, four bodies have been recovered from the crash site.
