Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver public speech in Janakpur during his visit to Nepal for the SAARC Summit in the last week of November.
Nepal's Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Minister Bimalendra Nidhi confirmed this on Friday in a statement.
Earlier, according to Kantipur Online, it was reported that Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam had said that Prime Minister Modi would only receive a public felicitation, and would not deliver a speech or distribute gifts during the visit.
Transport Minister Nidhi has been appointed to receive Prime Minister Modi at Janakpur.
Prime Minister Modi will enter Nepal via Janakpur through a road route. According to Nidhi, Modi will land at Rangabhumi ground at Barabigha by helicopter and will head towards Janaki Temple for performing puja.
He will then receive a public felicitation inside the temple premises.
Nidhi said Prime Minister Modi will address to various political leaders, representatives of civil society, media and public at the Janaki Temple on November 25.
