Prime Minister Narendra Modi will intervene and conclude the debate in the Parliament on the Constitution, on the second day of the Winter Session today.

"The Lok Sabha and Raj Sabha will also discuss the same issue. The Prime Minister will intervene and conclude the debate. This is not a statement or a clarification, but a conclusion by the leader of the house," Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu told ANI here.

He added that in Rajya Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will initiate the discussion today which will be carried out on Monday as well.

"Prime Minister Modi will be intervening in the Rajya Sabha also," Naidu added.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had announced that the first two days of the Winter Session of Parliament would be dedicated to the commemoration of the adoption of Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.

Yesterday, Union Home Minister and Deputy Leader of the BJP in Lok Sabha Rajnath Singh raised a storm saying that Dr. Ambedkar, the principle architect of the Constitution didn't find it necessary to insert 'Socialist' and 'Secular' words in the Preamble as he felt it's already in our basic nature adding that secular is the most misused word in Indian politics.

"Dr Ambedkar didn't find it necessary to insert 'Socialist' and 'Secular' words in the Preamble because he felt it's already in our basic nature. If there's any word which is being misused in Indian politics, that is 'Secular'," Rajnath said, while addressing the Lok Sabha on the first day of the Winter Session of the Parliament.
