Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asked the youth of the country to never stop learning, and added that the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda would always inspire them towards nation building.
"India is a youthful nation and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda inspire them towards nation building. January 12 is not an ordinary day and Vivekananda's powerful thoughts continue to shape several minds," said Prime Minister Modi while addressing a programme through video conferencing organized by the Vivekananda Kendra in Kanyakumari on the birthday anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The Prime Minister also said that the spirituality is not connected to religion but to humanity, though some people try to correlate it with religion.
National Youth Day is celebrated on January 12 on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
In 1984 the Government declared the day as the National Youth Day and since then the event is celebrated every year.
