Prime Minister Narendra Modi is due to address the nation for the second time on the occasion of Independence Day here from the ramparts of the 17th century-built Red Fort.
The address will be delivered amid very heavy and tight security in a short while from now.
Meanwhile, tight security has been put in place for the 69th Independence Day celebrations, including the deployment over 40,000 security personnel and roof top markings for the first time.
Apart from the above security measures, unmanned aerial vehicles, choppers and 500 CCTV cameras have been installed at high altitude to locate crucial and sensitive spots.
