Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enquired about the health of Saudi Arabia ruler King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and wished him a speedy recovery.
In a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Salman on Saturday night, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of the King.
The Prime Minister also gave his best wishes to Prince Salman for the discharge of his current duties and national responsibilities.
India and Saudi Arabia enjoy cordial and friendly relations reflecting the centuries old economic and socio-cultural ties. Indo-Saudi economic relations have shown remarkable growth, with bilateral trade registering three-fold increase in the last five years. Saudi Arabia is also the fourth largest trade partner of India, with bilateral trade standing at USD 48.62 billion in 2013-14.
Prime Minister Modi and Price Salman had met in November on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Brisbane, where the two leaders had stressed upon deepening bilateral relations between their respective nations.
