Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed Polavaram irrigation project here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion Gadkari said the Polavaram project can give a new life to farmers of Andhra Pradesh and affirmed that the Center is committed towards completing the project.
"The Central Government is keen on completion of the project and whatever funds are needed for the project, we will give them. We do not want to mix developmental activities and politics," Gadkari said.
He also underscored that the project is the pride of the nation.
Meanwhile, Naidu requested the Union Minister to help the state in the completion of the project.
"Within ten months, concrete work will be finished. Minister and I are insisting to complete by February 2019," Naidu said.
