Police on Saturday arrested seven hardcore Maoists of the People's Liberation Front (PLFI) group near the Porahat forest area in Jharkhand.
Maoist organisation, PLFI had camped in the Singhbhum district area, which was considered hub of the insurgent groups.
On Saturday, Superintendent of Police, Narendra Kumar Singh, said the arrest was a major breakthrough as they recovered ammunition as well as further leads.
"We have arrested seven Maoists of the People's Liberation Front (PLFI). We recovered three country made pistols, two rifles, mobile and a motorbike," said Singh.
A couple of days back, Special Police Officer was killed by the PLFI group, added Singh.
