The Rajasthan Police on Monday busted a rave party in Udaipur, with 80 people, including 16 women, arrested from the spot.
"A resort on the Ahmedabad highway, Uday Palace, was the venue of a rave party. We raided the resort and arrested 80 people from the venue, of which 16 were women. The party was being organised by the owner of the resort and his wife, and seven groups had already arrived at the spot, travelling from areas as far away as Ahmedabad and Surat," DSP Ranu Sharma told the media.
"This party was pre-planned and the organisers had also arranged for some prostitutes to be present at the party. All the people present there have been arrested," she added.
Sharma further said that the organiser of the party had managed to flee.
"We sent two of our undercover operatives as customers and struck a deal. After receiving the signal from them, we raided the party. We owner of the establishment managed to flee, along with his manager. However, his wife has been arrested," she said.
