The police has detained students and professors who had gathered outside Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to protest against CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) today.
One of the protestors, Professor Amarnath Jha said, "This is a misinformation spread by the government that the agitation has stopped, the students have been protesting all the while."
He said, "It was decided on 12th of August itself that we would protest outside UPSC on the 16th because today the UPSC's chief was to be changed".
He also said that they were protesting peacefully but the police rounded up and detained all the protestors.
Earlier on Thursday it was decided that Rajni Razdan will take oath as the new chief of UPSC replacing D P Agrawal .
