Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that political leaders consider themselves to be Gods after coming to power, after Haryana Chief Minister M.L. Khattar's convoy ran over a pedestrian on the national highway near Karnal.

"Political leaders consider themselves to be Gods after coming to power. I would like to request our ministers to meet the public and not remove them from their roads like this," said Sisodia.

Earlier in the day, a police vehicle belonging to the Haryana Chief Minister M.L. Khattar's convoy ran over a pedestrian on the national highway near Karnal.

The incident took place last night when the Chief Minister's convoy was going to the national capital from Chandigarh.

Two policemen including the driver of the vehicle have also been injured in the incident.

After the incident, all the three injured were taken to a trauma centre in Karnal, where the pedestrian succumbed to the injuries.
