Following the protest over the power crisis in the capital, ministers from different political parties have been busy blaming each other over the crisis.

"It is unfortunate that Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), by protesting are only exposing their own failures," said Union Power Minister, Piyush Goyel.

Congress leader J.P Agarwal however, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not been able to run the government properly.

"When we were in power, we had met the power demand. We had to pay for the mistakes of the previous government, but they are not able to see the problems faced by Delhi people," said Agarwal.

"It seems that they are not able to run the government properly," he added.

BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi defended his party saying that the present government is merely two weeks old.

"Whoever is criticizing should know that the present government is just two weeks old but they (Congress) were sitting in government for so many years," said Naqvi.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Vijay Goel said that the lieutenant governor must take steps to restore power in Delhi.

"The new government that comes to power must immediately work on it. This crisis has been ignored since ten years; technical snags can be repaired as towers have collapsed due to rain. The Lt. Governor must immediately take steps restoring power," said Goel.
