Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that he lost out on "millions of dollars" after he took time out of his movie career to be Governor of California.
The 66-year-old Austrian actor, who took a seven-year sabbatical from acting to pursue his political dreams, admitted that it wasn't great for him financially, Contactmusic reported.
He said that although he stepped out for seven years to be Governor of California, he was never trying to be a career politician who runs for Congress and the Senate.
Schwarzenegger said he just felt since America has given him every opportunity to achieve in life, he should take time out to serve the people regardless of the lack of pay.
He said he lost out on earning tens of millions of dollars and it also cost him- political campaigns are expensive- but none of that mattered as his aim was to help the people.
