Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal has claimed that she is taking a lot of positive out of her loss to Spain's Carolina Marin in the All-England Championships final on Sunday and has now set her eyes on the world number two rank.
Speaking to reporters on her arrival at the Hyderabad airport, the World number three Indian badminton ace said, "It was a tough fight but I am very happy to show good result from the China Open last year. There has been a lot of consistency and I am hoping to get number two next week".
Reflecting on the defeat at All-England Championship finals, Nehwal added, "I just got little hurried up and didn't really think over those crucial points where she [Marin] got that lead".
Nehwal squandered 6-1 lead in the second set before losing 21-16, 14-21,7-21 to the Spanish opponent, which ultimately ended her hopes of becoming the first Indian women to win the prestigious All-England Championship.
