Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has urged party president Sher Bahadur Deuba to focus on implementing the Constitution rather than engaging in a power game.
Poudel conveyed the message during a meeting yesterday in Budhanilkantha.
A team of leaders, including Central Committee (CC) members also requested Deuba to keep senior leaders in the loop while forging crucial deals with other parties.
Poudel said it was conveyed to Deuba, by the members to follow the party's procedure and consult with senior party leaders before nominating candidates for the central committee and the party office bearers.
"We basically asked him to regularly hold meetings in the party so that everyone is taken into confidence when the party takes such a decision," the Kathmandu Post quoted Poudel as saying.
The Nepali Congress and the Maoists have agreed to form a new government following the CPN (Maoist Centre)'s withdrawal from the government last week.
