Special prayers were held here on Wednesday for the speedy recovery of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is presently undergoing treatment for a heart-related ailment at a hospital in Mumbai.
The former Bihar chief minister's well-wishers offered prayers and chanted hymns while praying for his recovery.
"His treatment is going in Mumbai's heart hospital. We have prayed that his operation goes on successfully," one of Lalu's well-wishers told ANI.
Lalu underwent two major heart surgeries - one to replace an aortic valve and the other to repair the aorta.
67-year-old Lalu was hospitalized on Monday, the day bye-election results were being counted in Bihar and three other states.
The RJD-Janata Dal (United)-Congress combine won six of the 10 seats in the state's by-election.
