President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of KKM Memorial Sports Academy and Wellness Centre at Sagardighi, Murshidabad in West Bengal.
The President felicitated 12 sports personalities, including P. K. Banerjee (Football), Gurbux Singh (Hockey) and Akhtar Ali (Tennis). The felicitation was organized by Allsport Foundation on the occasion of Foundation Laying Ceremony of KKM Memorial Sports Academy and Wellness Centre.
Lok Sabha MP Abhijit Mukherjee unveiled the foundation stone of the sports academy named after freedom fighter and educationist late Kamada Kinkar Mukherjee, father of the President.
