President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly accused the United States of 'aiding and abetting' the Boko Haram militant group by refusing to provide arms to Nigeria.
The statement came after President Buhari met U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday to seek further assistance, reported the BBC.
A U.S. law prevents the government from selling weapons to countries, which fail to tackle human rights.
At least 10,000 people have been killed since 2009 and hundreds of women and girls kidnapped by Boko Haram militants.
