President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Nicaragua on the eve of their Independence Day.
In his message to His Excellency Mr. Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua, President Mukherjee said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I have great pleasure in extending to you and to the Government and people of Nicaragua warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day."
"India and Nicaragua have a history of friendship and cooperation. Our bilateral relations are also being strengthened under the India-SICA Dialogue to which India attaches great importance. I am confident that the friendly ties between our two countries will receive further impetus in the years to come," The President added.
President Mukherjee also conveyed to his Nicaragua counterpart his best wishes and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Nicaragua.
