President Pranab Mukherjee will conduct the annual opening of the Mughal Gardens of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the 'Udyanotsav' ceremony, on February 13 this year.
An official release from the Rashtrapati Bhavan stated that this year's main attraction of the Udyanotsav is tulips, which have reportedly been in bloom in vivid colors of red, orange and yellow.
Apart from the tulips, the 120 varieties of roses, which are a permanent feature of the gardens throughout the year, will also be on display.
Flower carpets in a variety of designs will also be on display in the Central Lawns, with the dominant colour scheme of this year being yellow, red and orange.
The Mughal Gardens will remain open for the general public from February 14 to March 15, between 9.30 am to 4 pm. Members of the public will also be able to visit the Spiritual Garden, Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden and Bio-diversity Park within the President's Estate.
The Mughal Gardens would be closed for maintenance every Monday.
