The former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has revealed that the US President Barack Obama does not watch cable news.
Carney said that the 53-year-old President is a voracious consumer of the printed word, even the electronic printed word, listing a series of print and web publications like 'The New York Times,' 'The Washington Post,' 'The Wall Street Journal' and 'Politico,' the Huffington Post reported.
According to Carney, when it comes to CNN, MSNBC and, especially, FOX News, Obama respectfully declines and added that he doesn't think it would be accurate to say by not watching cable news, he's not aware of what the political fight of the day is, but he does maintain "a healthy distance from it."
Carney continued that he thinks people don't want a White House that governs by cable news or governs by Twitter, which would be very "counterproductive.
