President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the week-long 'Festival of Innovations' at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 7.
Organised by the President's Secretariat, in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation, the festival will also see President Mukherjee awarding deserving candidates with the National Biennial Awards for Grassroots Innovations.
The other events which are part of the festival are a Global Roundtable on Inclusive Innovation on March 8, which aims at developing a universal, open, reciprocal and responsive innovation platform through sharing of strategies used by different countries; a workshop for innovative children on March 9; a meeting of national innovation clubs and an interaction between grassroots innovators and entrepreneurs on March 10; medical science and bio-technology innovations on March 11; a national consultation on innovations for the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' on march 12; and an address by President Mukherjee on March 13.
Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus will be one of the participants at the festival.
