Prince William has a high-speed helicopter on standby to take him to Kate's bedside when she goes into labour.
The 175mph Sikorsky S-76c chopper will be scrambled to rush the Prince from his RAF base in Anglesey to London in time to be with his wife when she has their first child - due in the next week or so, the Mirror reported.
It means the 31-year-old Prince can carry on with his vital work as a rescue pilot until the last moment without having to worry about missing out on the birth.
According to a source, William has promised Kate that he will be there during the birth of their royal baby, which goes on to show how serious he is about being a modern father.
He has vowed to "move heaven and earth" to be with his wife when she has their child in the private Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London - where his mum Princess Diana gave birth to him in June 1982.
