South Africa cricket team coach Russell Domingo has brushed aside pace express Dale Steyn's dispute with Australia skipper Michael Clarke, saying that he is not interested in knowing exactly what happened between the two during the final Cape Town Test.
Domingo said that he isn't interested in knowing exactly what Clarke had said to Steyn in the fiery climax to the third Test in Cape Town earlier this year, and believes that the tourists are focused on the job at hand in the one-day series starting on Friday in Perth.
However, the coach he also made one thing clear, saying that the team is behind their number one fast bowler no matter what, News.com.au reported.
Steyn expressed his feelings on Clarke two months ago in Zimbabwe, claiming that he might never forgive the Aussie skipper.
Instead of calling on Steyn to put the matter behind him and allow the team to concentrate, Domingo made the point that South Africa is a band of brothers. He said that honestly he doesn't know what Clarke said, and it doesn't really interest him to be honest.
The coach said that there are no factions within their group, or splits, or anything like that, adding that they back each other to the hilt.
Animosity between the teams has built up since Australia clinched a dramatic third Test on March 1 and went back to the summit of Test cricket, the report added.
