Supporters of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), protested against inflated electricity and water bills in New Delhi on Sunday and submitted complaint letters to the Congress leaders.
The spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party, Manish Sisodia and his fellow party members along with scores of supporters protested outside the residence of Delhi Health and Family Minister A K Walia and Congress legislator, Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
Sisodia along with party members vented out anger over the hyped power bills.
"Our demand is that A K Walia should tell us that what he was doing when Sheila Dikshit was increasing the electricity rates, water bills, when people who were protesting for the security of women were being beaten? Where was he hiding?" said Sisodia.
In April, Delhi Police had thwarted a protest rally that was taken out by the activists of AAP when they had intended to submit over 80,000 letters of grievances by the residents of Delhi in the eastern neighbourhood, over the inflated electricity bills.
A protester, Veena Bansal said that people had to face the brunt of the inflated electricity bills as they had to take loans.

"We are protesting against the inflated electricity bills. We had asked people to fill in the forms and the people are facing the brunt. The people have to take loans to pay their bills," said Bansal.
Electricity distribution and transmission in India is mostly state run, with private companies operating in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Less than a quarter of generation is private nationwide.
