Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday dedicated the newly constructed Golden Temple entrance plaza to the people, terming it an 'architectural marvel'.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 130 crore, this plaza is designed to give the Harminder Sahib a facelift. The Punjab tourism department also launched a pictographic booklet to mark the occasion.
On the occasion, Badal appealed to the people of Punjab to celebrate Diwali by making a pledge of upholding peace, amity, brotherhood and communal harmony in the state.
In a later interaction with the media, Badal also expressed hope that the Union Government would soon start the work on making the city into a 'Smart City'.
