Taking a jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Har Ghar Dastak' programme for the upcoming assembly polls, former union home secretary and BJP leader R.K. Singh in an apparent reference to RJD chief Lalu Yadav today wondered whether the former would tell the people of the state that he was now sitting in the lap of the same person about whom he had provoked the voters.
The BJP MP from Arrah said that campaigning does not make a difference.
"It depends on your work. There is 'Jungle Raj' in Bihar. What will Nitish Kumar say after going from house to house? I am sitting in the lap of the same person, who I had asked you to vote against. These people do not even have a face to go to the public," he added.
'Har Ghar Dastak' is a programme where the JD (U) will seek feedback from the people about the work done by the state government in the past.
In the interactive program formally launched by state JD (U) president Basistha Narayan Singh, around 10,000 party workers would knock doors of one crore homes and have a "direct conversation" with people on the functioning of the state government.
The programme would run in two phases from July 2 to July 11 and from July 21 to July 31 respectively.
